28 framesThe primary target of this session was the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635).
The skies finally cleared after a month, and I was able to take my new rig out again.
I am slowly starting work on a mosaic of the Orion Nebula and the Horsehead Nebula, but since these objects aren't up all night yet, I decided to try a different target to start with. Although it would have been better to use a telescope with a longer focal length for detailed structure of the Bubble itself, I wanted to capture a few other objects in the frame as well.
One of them was supposed to be the M52 star cluster (bottom left) and also the NGC 7538 nebula. Unfortunately, I rotated the camera incorrectly during the shoot, so only the cluster fit into the frame 🙃. Sadly, this incorrect rotation also ruined all parts of the mosaic mentioned above, so I can just go ahead and delete that data 🫤. But alas, that is also part of astrophotography :).
