On the evening of September 7, 2025, a lunar eclipse took place. Here in the Czech Republic, we could see the total eclipse phase as the Moon rose deep dark red, hidden in the Earth's shadow. Gradually, it began to emerge from the shadow and shined brightly as a full moon again.

The entire event lasted from 18:11 to ~20:30.

I captured this whole phenomenon using my refractor to ensure I could fit the entire Moon into the frame. Although I used a DSO camera (ZWO ASI585MC Pro), a higher frame rate wasn't necessary because the Moon was quite dark. I could have used my planetary camera, but the issue there is backfocus, which is not ideal for the Redcat 51 WIFD.
